Drama, loss, sorrow…

Some of us have had more share of those in our life-time…

Some have had more in the last few years…

As yet another year-end draws close, I’m glad that I stayed true to what I set my mind on
at the end of last year:

In the coming year, I resort to continue to honor the true beauty
and present fine art
from the day-to-day, the not-so-famous, and the “normal”...

We all are not having more time on this planet.

As if the universe heard me, I’ve had the honor of
meeting/working with many inspiring mature ladies that have incredible stories to tell and experiences to share.

”Life won’t wait”, said yours truly more than 20 years ago.

Today, she says:

Life’s too short
to not be yourself at all;
to not be crazy at least once;
and to not be weird all the time! :D

Speaking of weird, I don’t know what goes on my clients’ mind every time I pull out this gear (the one in my hand in the image above).

For those that’s interested, feel free to look up “beauty dish”. To me, if it reflects, comes in the dome shape and produces beauty (images), it’s a beauty dish. And mine is one-of-a-kind. It’s got the traces of being banged around in the kitchen and carries the patina of seeing through all those yummy food over the years.

I really don’t blame my clients for associating it with the word “kitchen”. It’s truly got an origin that belongs there. But it’s also good at, once in a while, doing something that’s beyond the normal call of duty. It just feels so organic (I think my client Linda knows how it feels :-)) when I’m being true to my origin (being Asian) and honors all my passions (besides “transforming women” :-), I love food and creative cooking).

For those of you that know me, I’m not a New Year’s Resolution kind of person. I follow my guiding poles and wander accordingly.

So now, as we count down to 2023…

I wish you being you (i.e., the true beauty)!

As to me? I will continue wearing my hat (uh-huh, lid, Chinese stir-fry wok lid) of weirdness! :-) Julia Child may even consider it drama done right.

Sayonara, 2022…

Bang! Oops… Excuse my “weirdness” hat! :-p
