One time, I caught myself saying that certain country does not offer people that are either beautiful or interesting, when asked whether I like photographing there.
Iโve long held an opinion that people make part of the landscape of the country/city/locale wherever we travel to. While how one defines beauty or interest varies, Italy definitely has no shortage of beautiful people for me.
On one balmy afternoon, when I was photographing the city of Cefalรน in Northern Sicily, one such beautiful person came gliding across the surface of water. As he continued circling around, never moving beyond the reach of my camera, I concluded that I didnโt mind photographing him, with the medieval houses glowing in warm Mediterranean tones in the background.

How many faces does magnolia have? - Los Angeles Photographer
OK, so it's Friday and it feels so spring. In fact, there are Cherry Blossom Festivals in quite a few locations near where I am this weekend. I'm thinking something pretty and spring-ish while my mind is on the images from the Huntington Library. So, I tried my hand with the incredible magnolia varieties. And you know what, like women, they are multi-faceted. So this is to the flower-like women in this world that make it such an interesting and beautiful place to be in.
Well, here they are and you can be the judge:
Which side of women do you like? ;-)
Have a nice weekend, my friends!

A real beauty brought back from Vietnam - Los Angeles Travel Photographer
I realized that it's been months since our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and I've been guilty of not sharing enough beautiful images from it. This one stuck in my mind even during the trip. It was the day that we arrived in Hanoi. The weather was perfect and we took an easy afternoon stroll along the lake near our hotel. It turned out to be a popular day (or season) for bridal portraits. We must have run into at least 5 couples within an hour. This bride-to-be in her traditional costume, with the soft rays on her shoulder, was simply too beautiful to pass up for me.
So here's my take on her bridal portraiture:
Anybody knows this beautiful bride? I would love to send her a print.
