This Valentine's Day, Caress Yourself with Love - Los Angeles Transformational Beauty Photographer

I grew up in the far east and even I have heard the story of a woman being saved by a knight in shining armor (on a white horse?).  So, would it be safe to say that many girls, if not all, have been brought up in the culture where such fantasy exists?

Valentine's Day is such a classic holiday, nowadays, to celebrate with your such knight.  And it could cause stress for the princesses that are still waiting.  They may think that no knight likes her or, worse, that she's not worthy of love.

Girl, listen, just like many things in this world, if desirable things haven't happened to you, it most likely is not a reflection on you.  Think about it, your designated knight, in such a confusing world, may have been lost, distracted, gotten into a fight with the devil for a wrong princess, or even fallen off the handsome horse and injured himself.  So, like I said, no delayed arrival for the above reasons could have been caused by you.  So, stop being so hard on yourself, and have faith that the fittest and the bestest knight will show up when it's the right time and you are in your best state of physical and spiritual mind.

In the meanwhile, caress yourself with abundant love.  Treat yourself as you deserve it.  All of my women clients know
what I'm talking about.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Seniors Gathering in Historical District of Suzhou (่‹ๅทž), China - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

I'm sure all creatives can relate. As we progress artistically, our interests in visual cues and expression techniques change. However, it seems that something is "buried" so deep in me that it hasn't left me these years; or is it something that represents the intrinsic "true me" that's simply waiting for me to realize one day? This image was made a few years ago in Pingjiang Road (ๅนณๆฑŸ่ทฏ), Suzhou (่‹ๅทž), China. Little did I know that my interest in observing and documenting the interaction among seniors, especially in their communal gatherings, has been "set in stone" from a long time ago. :-)

Catch Me If You Can (2 of ...) - What Are You About? - Los Angeles Fine Art Photographer

Who are you?

What you are about?

Have you thought about how you'd answer these questions?

For those that's been following my Transformational Beauty Photography, my philosophy is that we are way more complex than what our positions (e.g., accountant) or titles (e.g., CEO) are capable of explaining our qualities and values.  I think that adjectives are more meaningful.  And this is especially true for the even more complex human beings that's called females. ;-)

And what if you'd have to use a photograph to describe yourself?  Those words get condensed into one image.  Hmmm...

Well, for me, I'm a spirit, an energy, a "poof" that moves through this life with no boundary (check out my journeys thus far, if you haven't).  So, I think this image speaks volumes about who I am, at least the way I feel at the moment.

What words (adjectives) come to your mind when you see this image?

P.S. If you'd like to ride along in this life, catch me if you can... :-)
