Florence (Firenze) was not the only city where we craved to get out for air. Venice is unfortunately another city that's suffered from too many tourists. Lucky for us, in its fishing village on the Pellestrina Island, we found peace. Over there, we saw the genuine life that we seek wherever we travel.
Before sun-down, people all come out. What better view is there to beat the view of the setting sun on the lagoon right out the front door? It must be a privilege to just pull a chair in order to enjoy such a view.
But, do they know an even better view follows after they've all gone indoors when it gets dark? Good things happen to those that wait. Just saying... :-)
