Of Mom, For Mom, With Mom - Los Angeles Transformational Beauty Photographer

At the beginning of this year, I pledged to make more effort to photograph โ€œmatureโ€ women. In the last two months that Iโ€™ve been MIA here, I received bad news about two of them.

One was an artist that I only recently started following. It took a mere few weeks for her to go from the sudden diagnosis to meeting her eternity. The other one is currently fighting her battle that was started recently. Only two months ago, I thought she has good genes as her mom made more than 100 rounds in this world.

I know we all are going to meet our final destination one day. But whether beknownst to us or not, a generation is quietly leaving us. When that day comes, would you be happy with the memories that youโ€™ve preserved about them?

Motherโ€™s Day is coming up. While Iโ€™m sure moms will not stop being moms (or stop doing what moms do) the other 364 days of the year, it serves as a reminder to ask ourselves this question:

When was the last time that you had a photograph professionally done of your mom, for your mom and/or with your mom?

I hope the answer is satisfactory to you. As I always say, โ€œlife wonโ€™t waitโ€. Itโ€™s especially true for a certain generation. When they are gone, a generation of stories are gone.

Iโ€™d love for a chance to hear their stories and present them in fine art work that will be treasured for generations to come. Please fill out the simple form below to start the conversation:

Boys Will be Boys ...... - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

I love it when children are like children, like the ones that chase bubbles with all their lives. What I didnโ€™t realize is that boys will be boys and stay that way for a long time. I had this epiphany while in Arezzo, Italy for its Giostra del Saracino. Over there, I got to observe them doing what they do best.

Boys play:

Boys fight:

Boys would be playing to fight:

It seems that they each have a boy in their ever-maturing human bodies, rent free. What I need help figuring out is, at what point, the boy gets evicted. Or does he ever? I mean, do you see a boy lurking underneath this gentlemanโ€™s skin?

Beauty in the Eyes of Beholder - Los Angeles Travel Photographer

Ben Youssef Medersa in Marrakesh, Morocco, was once one of the largest theological colleges in North Africa.  At the entrance when we were ready to admire the touted Islamic architecture, I turned around.  My eyes lit up as if they've seen gold.  But wait, there's a guy taking photograph of his girl friend, occupying all the vantage points for my gold.  So I decided to wait a little.  So I waited.  And I waited...  And... still waiting...

When I realized that they were having a full-on portrait session, I caught a break in their flow of poses and got what I wanted.  Yes, the beauty in my eyes, at that moment, was the old man. :-)

What's the beauty that you are beholding at this moment?
