What Better Way than to Preserve Your Party Memories in a Custom Photo CD/DVD Case - Los Angeles Event/Party Photographer

Happy holidays!  Tis' the season for parties!

Although I have tiered pricing for events/parties, many customers choose to have the touched-up pictures burned onto a CD/DVD.  In this case, I'd always recommend a CD/DVD case.  Why?  Because it's a great add-on and it's like what an album is like to the pictures in it.  It also protects the nice pictures from the memorable parties on your CD/DVD.

They can be single, double or triple CD/DVD holders with leatherette, linen, or custom photo covers (my personal favorite) and finished with a magnetic closure.

The pictures below are examples of a CD case for Nathan the little pirate's party.  In this case, it holds a single CD, with customizations on the cover, including the design (can vary based on the occasion and taste preference), the picture and the caption.  The cover is also laminated for further protection of the surface.

Now, go off and book a venue (could be your home :-))for a holiday celebration and I will be there in no time! :-)

Fine Art Giclée Canvas Gallery Wrap for Sharon and Dennis - Los Angeles Maternity Photographer

Remember Sharon and Dennis, the expecting parents that I worked with on the maternity portraits?  Well, their baby princess has joined us.  But before I get on to  how sweet and beautiful she looks, I thought I'd finish some "old business".

Sharon and Dennis were exciting about the portraits that turned out and chose one of the maternity portraits to enlarge for the living room.  They have a nice house with contemporary decor.  Much as I expected, they liked the frame-less looks of pictures.  Upon presenting them with the different options, the picture was processed on a gallery wrap with Giclée prints.

OK, time out.  You might ask what a "fine art Giclée canvas gallery wrap" is.

It is a picture printed directly onto museum quality canvas material using high quality archival inks.  The canvas print is then wrapped around a stretcher frame so that the photo’s edges are visible on the sides of the frame.  Frames are available in 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2-1/2 -inch depths.  Given the size and the taste preference of the couple, we chose 3/4-inch frames for their gallery wrap.  Additionally, a lustre finishing spray is applied to protect the surface of the print.  Alternatively, glossy spray can be applied to taste as well.  With the appropriate (easy) care (e.g., no direct exposure to harsh sunlight, etc.), this beautiful wall art will last years and years.

As you'd see in the pictures below, the gallery wrap is finished with paper backing for a more finished look (Customers have the choice of no paper backing as well).  Hanging hardware was attached - in this case, a sawtooth.  So installation is a piece of cake.  At the bottom of the backing, bumpers were applied to provide room for air circulation.

Want your photos to stand out? Have them displayed on standout mounts.

As a photographer, I always work with my customers in coming up with the photo display solutions based on factors such as:- The customers' home decor;

- The customers' interests/tastes; and

- The look/feel of the photographs themselves.

So in a way, I'm like an interior designer.

Other than the traditional framing, there are so many frame-less alternatives nowadays, many of which are lighter in weight and are easier to install.  Remember the relatively new presentation style - canvas thin wrap I shared a couple of months ago?  Well, for the lady that has a near-century long of experience in this world, I tried a different media.

This time, I had it printed on photo paper.  The print was then mounted on a thick black lightweight backing that gives a contemporary, finished look to the unframed image.  Holes are included on the back of the mounts for easy hanging.  And depending on the size of the photo, the backing is available in ¾" and 1½" (for larger sizes) thicknesses.

As you can see, the sides are wrapped, which gives an even more finished look.  Given the feel of this particular photo, I picked black siding for her.  White and beige are two other options.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of anything shiny.  To protect the photo, I could have selected a matte spray.  However, I thought a glossy spray would really bring out the deep colors in this photo and it turned out to look really nice.

Take a look at the finished product in different angles.  I hope you like this product as well!
